Bonnie Baker lived next door when I was small. Her Grandfather
owned the bungalows we lived in. They were identical and Aunt
Mary and Uncle Mit's house on Powelton Avenue was also
identical. Her Grand Parents lived two doors up and I remember
Mom taking the rent check over to them.
Susan Taylor was my secret love from first grade. Her father
died the same week mine did. Her dad had owned the local
Chevrolet dealership. When her mom sold it she must have worked
a deal, because she always got a new black chevy at the
beginning of the model year. Susan was my first 'date' at the
age of 12. She married the son of the Mayor of Ocean City
shortly after graduation and started a family.
